Akash Network Introduces Supercloud to Offer Decentralized GPU Resources

Akash Network has launched Mainnet upgrade 6, dubbed "Supercloud", which aims to decentralize access to graphics processing unit (GPU) chips. The upgrade allows users to access GPUs through Akash Network's decentralized cloud marketplace.

Traditionally, GPU resources have been centralized in the hands of a few large cloud providers. However, with Supercloud, Akash Network provides a decentralized alternative for utilizing GPUs.

Through Supercloud, Akash Network will offer consumers access to professional-grade GPU models from Nvidia, including their H100 and A100 chips. Consumer-level GPUs capable of handling compute-intensive tasks will also be available decentralized on the marketplace.

Akash Network is an open-source, decentralized cloud computing network built on Cosmos SDK.
