Argentinian Oil Company to Launch Crypto Mining Facility

As reported by local media, an Argentinian oil company, Tecpetrol will launch a gas-powered crypto mining facility.

The company is drilling at least 35,000 barrels of oil daily, and will release gas in the process, while there is no infrastructure to consume these gas. The crypto mining facility is thus used to consume this released gas. The primary goal of the crypto mining is to avoid gas emissions and to generate some additional profits.

"Givn our inability to release the gas into the environment, we have opted to implement crypto mining operation," CEO of Tecpetrol explained.
