BitDAO Community Votes on New Proposal Regarding Providing First Year Budget for Mantle

The BitDAO community has launched the BIP-19 proposal, which proposes the first year budget for the Ethereum Layer2 network Mantle, including 10 million $BIT and 14 million $USDC to cover operations during an up to 6-month long testnet, and 145 million $BIT and 34 million $USDC to cover the first year of operating expenses for the mainnet. Voting on this proposal will end on February 20th.

Mantle is an Optimistic Rollup developed by BitDAO. It uses a modular design, where the core functions of blockchain operation are performed on specialized layers, aiming for lower costs and better overall performance. Mantle went live on testnet in January 2023.
