Cosmos Ecosystem: Neutron Chain Announces Token Issuance Plan, Airdrop to $ATOM stakers

On May 24, Cosmos Ecosystem Project Neutron announced its Token $NTRN launch event: airdrop to Cosmos Hub stakers starts on May 24; liquidity auction starts from May 24 to May 31; allowing liquidity auction participants to choose lockdrop from May 31 to June 5; the $NTRN launch event ends on June 5, at which time tokens from the airdrop and liquidity auction will begin to be released linearly over three months. Locked tokens will still have voting rights, and liquidity mining rewards can be withdrawn immediately.

On May 12, the Cosmos's permissionless CosmWasm smart contract platform Neutron launched its mainnet, becoming the first Cosmos blockchain to use "Replicated Security."

Replicated Security is a new feature that enables the Cosmos Hub to offer its strong security to other blockchains, also known as 'consumer chains'. With this feature, consumer chains can benefit from the Cosmos Hub's security without having to maintain their own validator sets.

The Cosmos Hub's validators can validate multiple chains at once with the same stake. In exchange for this service, consumer chains are expected to send a portion of their fees and inflation to the Cosmos Hub validators and delegators, which will then be included as part of the Cosmos Hub's staking rewards.
