Cosmos Hub Introduces Replicated Security to Safeguard Cosmos Ecosystem

Cosmos Hub has completed the Lambda upgrade at block height 14470501. The upgrade introduces the first iteration of Replicated Security, which aims to provide security to other Cosmos-based blockchains as well as to bring additional rewards to the $ATOM stakers.

Initially named Interchain Security, the Replicated Security mechanism allows other Cosmos-based blockchains, which are called consumer chains, to benefit from the Cosmos Hub's security without having to maintain their own validator sets.

Cosmos Hub's validators will validate the consumer chains. In return, the consumer chains will send a portion of their fees and inflation to the Cosmos Hub validators and delegators. These tokens will then be included as part of the $ATOM staking rewards.
