Crypto Data Company Coin Metrics Raised $6.7 Million

Crypto data company Coin Metrics raised $6.7 million in a new funding from a new, undisclosed investor. The funding is through the sale of equity and a category that includes options, warrants and other rights to acquire another security.

Coin Metrics provides network and market data, indexes and network risk solutions to institutions that invest in crypto. The company last raised $35 million in a Series C funding round in April 2022.

Founded in 2017, Coin Metrics has a stacked board of directors that includes venture capitalists Nic Carter and Matthew Walsh of Castle Island Ventures, Goldman Sachs managing director Mathew McDermott and Katey Neate, the COO of digital assets at BNY Mellon.
