Drift Protocol V2 Now Live on Open Mainnet

Drift Protocol V2, a decentralized exchange for perpetual futures built on Solana, is now live on open mainnet.

Drift V2 currently offers traders access to perpetual trading with leverage, spot trading, and cross-collateral deposits. Additionally, users can earn yield on their deposits and staked deposits, as well as borrow and lend. All of this is achievable on Drift with just a single pool of capital.

One of the key innovations of Drift V2 is the Liquidity Trifecta, a multi-faceted liquidity mechanism that combines Just-in-Time Auction Liquidity, AMM Liquidity, and Orderbook Liquidity.

Previously, Drift was affected by the Terra crash, and Drift Protocol co-founder Cindy Leow said Drift secured $15 million in emergency financing so it could pay back its users. She declined to state the terms or who provided it, but said Drift's investors were involved.
