FTX Customer Claims Portal to Launch 'in the Coming Weeks' as Description Changed

FTX's customer claims portal shows that the website "will be launched in the coming weeks", which is different from last week's description.

Previously, FTX debtors filed a motion to the court to establish the deadline for customers to file proofs of claim. Before the motion was approved, the introduction of the FTX customer claims portal said, "this site will serve as the Debtors' Customer Claims Portal which will be launched once the Court Order is signed related to the motion on or around July 3, 2023."

In June 28, the court approved FTX debtors' motion, setting the deadline for FTX customers to file proofs of claim on September 29, 2023 at 4pm ET. The Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of FTX then said that the claims portal "will be launched in the coming days", and "the Committee and the FTX Debtors will announce when the portal is active."

Currently, however, the description on the claims portal is changed to, "this site will serve as the Debtors' Customer Claims Portal which will be launched in the coming weeks as a result of recent amendments to the filed schedules. Customers will be notified through email and the official FTX twitter account when the portal is open."
