Grayscale Wins Lawsuit against SEC after Court Approved Its Petition for Reviewing Spot Bitcoin ETF Application

Grayscale has won the lawsuit against the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). A US federal court revoked the SEC's order to deny Grayscale's application for a spot Bitcoin ETF, ruling that the SEC must review the application.

Grayscale first applied for its GBTC Trust to be converted into a spot Bitcoin ETF in October 2021. After the SEC denied the application, Grayscale filed a lawsuit against the regulator, asking for a review of the order.

After winning the lawsuit, Grayscale CEO Sonnenshein said the company's legal team was "actively reviewing the Court's opinion".
