Late Nexon CEO's $6.7 Million Worth of Cryptocurrencies Was Stolen by Hackers

The $6.7 million worth of cryptocurrencies belonging to the late CEO of gaming company Nexon, Kim Jung-ju, was stolen by hacker Chang in May. A Seoul Eastern District Court sentenced the hacker, whose name was not disclosed, to six years in prison in November.

According to local media reports, Chang allegedly stole Kim Jung-ju's cell phone SIM card and extracted personal information, which he then used to siphon $BTC, $ETH and other assets from accounts at Korbit, a South Korean crypto exchange, whose compliance team discovered suspicious account activity and reported it to local police in June.
