Microsoft Reportedly Testing Web3 Wallet Integration for Edge Browser

Microsoft is reportedly in the process of integrating a crypto and non-fungible token (NFT) Web3 wallet into its Edge web browser.

A series of supposed screenshots of the early stages of the new wallet were shared on Twitter by software documenter and occasional info leaker, Albacore.

The screenshots show that the wallet will be non-custodial and embedded into Edge as opposed to being an installed browser extension, with no access to passwords and recovery keys by Microsoft. The wallet will allow users to swap, send and buy crypto assets, with crypto exchange Coinbase and Web3 infrastructure firm MoonPay integrated as platforms to help users purchase and deposit crypto to their wallets.

Microsoft has not yet confirmed the integration, but the screenshots suggest that the development of the new wallet is well underway.
