Uniswap Community Proposes to Create the Uniswap Foundation

The Uniswap community proposed to create the Uniswap Foundation. The Foundation is an independent entity whose mission is to support the decentralized growth and sustainability of the Uniswap Protocol and its supporting ecosystem and community. In particular, Devin Walsh will serve as Executive Director and Ken Ng will serve as Director of Operations, and they will build a team of 12 people. The Foundation is requesting a total budget of $74 million, with $14 million to cover a full team for 3 years and $60 million for the Uniswap Grants Program (UGP). In addition, the Foundation is asking for 2.5 million $UNI to participate in governance, primarily through delegation.
