US SEC Accepts Spot Bitcoin ETF Applications from BlackRock and Others

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially accepted applications for spot Bitcoin ETFs from BlackRock, Bitwise, Invesco, Wisdom Tree, Fidelity and VanEck. The applications have been added to the SEC's official docket, and will enter a 21-day public comment period.

Last month, the SEC returned the recent spot Bitcoin ETF applications because they were not "sufficiently clear or comprehensive". The asset management companies then refiled applications. It's worth mentioning that they all chose Coinbase as the surveillance partner to monitor and report possible illegal activity.

Previously, ARK Invest's spot Bitcoin ETF application had been acknowledged by the SEC.
